ABI DNA Synthesizer makes 48 oligonucleotides in 4 banks in one run. It requires that the amount of nucleotide of each kind (A, T, C and G) be used in approximately equal amounts for each run of the machine. The software schedules the given oligonucleotides in such a way that for each run amount of each nucleotide used is in approximately equal amount and the wastage is the least.
