I came to Alicante in Jul. 2003. It has been two years here but I feel as if it has been only few months. That means I have been enjoying myself a lot. This place is very colorful with a lot of beaches, bars and museums. My favourite beach is Playa de San Juan which is very near to my university campus.
I went to Valencia just for one day with Alex, Boris and Isabel. Alex was there for a meeting and I, Boris and Isabel were visiting all tourist places. We tried to visit as many as places in Valencia in just six hours. It was great to be there. It's bigger city than Alicante with wider roads.
I got a chance to see Benidorm in Jul. 2005. Miriam and her friends from dance classes were going to participate in Tango dance. So I joined them. It was fun to see many people dancing Tango. I met some of the teachers also who teach Tango. We came back in the night. Benidorm is a city occupied mainly by foreigners so many people can understand English unlike other cities in Spain.
I went to Dublin to give a talk in Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland. I was staying in Stantons Hotel very near to Trinity college, Dublin which is one of my favourite colleges. I, Niraj and Priya visited few places in Dublin. We went to a beach also which was not good as Alicante beaches but not that bad either.
While I was in Ireland, I with my friends Niraj and Priya went to Galway also for one day visit. I liked this place more than Dublin. Very nice houses and cheap price also whereas in Dublin the houses are very costly.
I went to Nijmegen to give a talk in CMBI, Radbound University, Nijmegen, Netherlands. I was there for only two days. It was raining most of the time therefore I couldn't see much. I had PitaMac in McDonalds which was very good.
It was my first visit to any European country. I was invited by one of the professors in Erasmus Medical Center to visit his lab. It is a very good city. I got crazy for Netherlands. Unfortunately I couldnt make it and I had to join Alicante, Spain where my whole life got changed, ofcourse positively.
I went to Norwich for the meeting of the project GEMINI from which I get my fellowship. I went there for 4 days but unfortunately I had to come back in just two days. Therefore I was not able to see many things. In the day I was busy in meetings and in UK most of the things are closed in the evening.
